We accept check, or credit card. Fees are collected at the beginning of each session. Super Bills may be requested.

  • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

  • What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

  • Is approval required from my primary care physician

  • What is my deductible and co-pay/co-insurance?

  • Is the provider an "In-network" or "Out-of-network" provider?

  • Is pre-authorization required?

*If we are not in-network with your insurance, please contact your insurance provider to learn their policies about Out-Of-Network providers. In many cases, many insurance companies will still reimburse you for a portion of the service. We can provide a super bill showing that you have paid for services and with that, you can submit a claim for reimbursement.

Benefits To Self-Paying For Therapy Instead Of Using Insurance:

There are several benefits to self-paying for therapy and several drawbacks to using insurance to pay for therapy. Here are a few reasons why we advocate clients to self-pay for therapy:  

​

1) Therapist must give you a medical diagnosis for insurance to pay for therapy;

2) Insurance company determines how long your treatment will be, not you and the therapist;

3) In some cases, insurance will ask for a report of your treatment, jeopardizing confidentiality;

4) Insurance chooses your therapist for you by limiting your choice of therapists to those in their network.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I pay for sessions?
When setting up your account, we ask that you add a credit card on file prior to meeting with your therapist. Your session fee will be charged the day of your appointments. Amex, Visa, Mastercard, HSA/FSA cards, Debit are accepted forms of payment.

Is there a charge for missed appointments?
The time scheduled for your appointment is assigned to you and you alone. Occasionally you may need to miss or reschedule a session, but please be courteous with your communication and notify us at least 24 hours in advance. We uphold a 24-hour cancellation policy which means if you, cancel or miss an appointment, you will be responsible for paying the full fee of your session. Sessions booked within a 24 hour period are considered confirmed and the same policy is upheld.
