About Me
If you're someone who feels stuck in patterns you understand logically but struggle to change emotionally, you're not alone.
I work with adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, multicultural clients, creatives, and high-achieving professionals who may appear successful on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from themselves on the inside. Many of the clients I support are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, burnout, self-worth struggles, attachment wounds, grief, family conflict, identity exploration, or major life transitions. I also frequently help individuals work through perfectionism, people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, and recurring relationship patterns that no longer serve them.
I've always been fascinated by human behavior, especially the parts of ourselves we tend to judge, hide, or struggle to understand. My path into therapy began with a desire to better understand people and support those navigating life's challenges with compassion, curiosity, and genuine connection.
As a Vietnamese Chinese American therapist, I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who are exploring the intersection of culture, family expectations, personal identity, and independence. I understand how difficult it can be to balance who you've been taught to be with who you're becoming, and I strive to create a space where all parts of your experience are welcomed, respected, and understood.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and insight-oriented. I believe healing happens when we feel safe enough to be honest with ourselves while also feeling supported enough to grow. In our work together, I'll help you slow down, get curious about the patterns that continue to show up in your life, and develop a deeper understanding of your emotions, relationships, and sense of self.
I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Somatic Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and trauma-informed approaches. I often incorporate nervous system regulation, mindfulness practices, and body awareness techniques because I believe meaningful healing happens not only through insight, but through experience and embodiment.
Many of my clients identify as the "strong one"—the helper, the achiever, the person everyone else depends on. Yet beneath that strength, they may struggle with emotional overwhelm, self-doubt, perfectionism, loneliness, or feeling disconnected from themselves. My goal is to help you move beyond simply managing symptoms and begin building a relationship with yourself that feels more grounded, compassionate, and authentic.
Clients often describe me as calming, intuitive, approachable, and direct. I value creating a therapy space that feels genuine and human rather than overly clinical. While I offer emotional support and validation, I also gently challenge clients to explore new perspectives, strengthen their confidence, and create meaningful change in their lives and relationships.
For clients who feel connected to these areas, I also enjoy exploring conversations around spirituality, meaning, personal growth, and embodiment in a grounded and psychologically informed way. I believe healing is rarely linear, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we'll create a path that feels aligned with your goals, values, and unique life experiences.
My hope is that you leave therapy feeling more emotionally grounded, more confident in yourself, and more connected to who you truly are. You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone, and meaningful change is possible.
